After being hooked to many endless Hollywood and Sitcom chasers, today I had surrendered myself to Bollywood. First it was SLB's Guzaarish followed by Dev D.
First thing first, Guzaarish! This one of the SLB movies which did not evoke any enthusiasm pre or post launch. I had absolutely zero expectations before putting it on. It wasn't a 'WOW' experience I would say but none the less I liked it despite of my zero expectation. For the first time may be i liked Ash, Hrithik as usual is an amazing performer, yet his tone sometimes was annoying because he sounded like a mentally retarded kid(like Koi mil gaya). SLB's direction wasn't flawless yet nothing in particular that I would like to pick on. Loved Nafeesa, especially for 'what a wonderful world'. The new kid is good however he wasn't used to his potential. Overall
every minute of Guzaarish was worth watching.
Last but not least Dev D! WOW!!! I was a fool to miss out on this movie. It as the real stuff, loved the music, performances in short everything. I must say Dev D wasn't just a movie it was an experience and I am quite thrilled with it! Kudos Bollyood, finally we are making progress!!!

Sense and Sensibility.. real sense indeed
It is a real surprise that despite being a Jane Austen fan I had never laid my hands on this masterpiece of hers. Last whole week I have been searching comfort in Jane Austen's works first 'Pride and prejudice' followed by 'Emma' and today 'Sense and sensibility'.Thanks to BBC I have watched it all!
Sense and sensibility is by far Austen's most superior work I have witnessed. It was deep and caught female emotions to the finesse. I loved the character of Elinor Dashwood to the core. The story was absolutely hooking and made me curious of the end by each passing moment. However, there has been a similar pattern in the way her story twists and turns in each book especially how the good guy in the first half turns out to be the bad guy and vice versa.
No matter how predictable but A. Lady is me favorite!

It's 2011
Happy New Year!
It's officially new year now and as usual I am 7 days late in posting what exactly I feel.
Another decade of life has gone by. A lot has happened in last decade, events full of ups and downs. I am grateful for all the ups and I am also grateful for the downs because thats where I have learnt the most from life.
Looking forward to a lot of things in this decade. Hopefully I will be more closer to my desired life at the end of 2020.
No new year's resolutions :-)
